It's Not What You Know, It's Who You Know

Seems I was a bit premature in posting today's email mailbag. I just got an email from someone I know from grad school inviting me to speak in the algebra seminar at [school you've heard of that is within driving distance of here] on the same day that [colleague at current institution] would speak in their colloquium. Ack, ack, ack. I have nothing to talk about! (And, so, I shall politely decline.)
