Unanswered Questions from the First Day
- Why are there 34 students in my sections that were capped at first 30 and then 32 -- especially since rumors of low enrollments this semester led to the non-renewal of many adjuncts? How will I learn 125 names?
- Will I learn not to be distracted by the sign language interpreter?
- Did the students understand that the 21 pages of handouts (printed double-sided onto 12 sheets of paper) are a secret message telling lazy people to drop? What about the fact that I'm collecting homework every day and making everyone do a presentation?
- Can I think less of the Political Science student who listed her major as "PolySci"?
