  1. Last night I went to the Fellini Kroger. I was wearing my pajamas, and I chose my food based solely on the numbers in its UPC seal.

  2. I'm reluctant to venture to my office to find my notes and handouts from the last time I gave a talk about barcodes, as I seem to remember that some time in the near future our campus will be crawling with thousands of college basketball fans.

  3. I'm cheering against our team. I don't have any players in my classes, but I do have several cheerleaders, marching band members, etc. They've already missed a lot of classes for assorted "spirit" things; they can't afford to miss any more.
