Friday Night at the Mall
In a scene right out of The Geek and The Geek, I was called upon for my extensive knowledge of men's fashion (!?!?!?!?) to help assemble a wardrobe appropriate for teaching calculus. He had already decided that he wanted short-sleeved button-down shirts and khaki pants, so my tasks were limited to choosing stores and providing moral support. Since all the shirts matched with all the pants, calculating the number of outfits was trivial.
Afterwards we went to look at televisions. Did you know that if I gave up buying lunch and coffee out for a year that I could use the money to buy a 26" LCD television?
Weirdest part of the outing: on the way to the mall there was a guy sitting on a guard rail and resting. Next to him? A full-size cross (as in crucifixion) with a wheel on the bottom.
