I have done all the written work and xeroxing and lesson planning necessary to get me through my Monday classes. It is sunny and 60-something degrees out. It is Friday afternoon.

My options:

• Leave.


• Stick around for a department meeting in an hour and a half. I am not qualified to vote on the key issue on the agenda.
