Knitting Without Excitement

purplescarf
cheapsocks

The scarf is being made out of some non-machine-washable purple yarn (fingerling weight) that I've had for a few years. Since it's not washable, it would be a poor choice for socks. Didn't know what I would make out of it, so I decided to make one of the scarfs from Scarf Style.

The sock yarn was $2 a skein at the craft store, so I impulse bought it. It's not really that attractive, but I've decided to use up all of my unloved yarn (or to give it away) before I buy more.
