Tales From the First Day

  1. One of the adjuncts didn't show up to teach his morning classes. The Associate Head won the excuse pool: he had bet on "car broke down." (We have a history with this adjunct.)

  2. Math for Elementary Ed has a similar course code to a course in very popular department. After hearing that they were in the wrong course, most of the students left, leaving only 3 students. The person currently teaching Math for Elementary Ed may get to pick up one of the irresponsible adjunct's courses.

  3. My calculus class seems like a good group.

  4. Things to sort out with veteren people thinking that they're exempt from all the rules (they are exempt from some).
