Scary

  1. One of the staff said that instead of my tiara that I needed a witch's hat.

  2. The Associate Head of the department said, "You don't really need a costume since I've seen you dressed like that for class before."

  3. An algebraic geometer looked at me quizzically and asked, "Are you wearing a costume?"

  4. Black layered, tulle skirt. Black tank-top. Black cropped cardigan. Black stack-heeled, lug-soled mary janes. Hot pink and black striped tights. Purple beaded choker. Marabou trimmed plastic tiara.

  5. My students should have been scared. Today I introduced the Taylor Series.
