Summer Dilemma
Normally I spend the summer here. Heck, I'm even supposed to be here for my job. I get paid the princely sum of $1000 to work over the summer.
Today I got an email saying that the application deadline for a summer job that I want at MIT has been extended until Friday. I'm seriously thinking of asking my department head if it would be OK if I spent 7 weeks in Massachusetts this summer. I'd make way more than $1000 at this other job. And as nasty as Boston is in the summer, it is no worse than the South.
