Today in Class I Committed a Crime

We're scheduled to talk about dimensions (specifically the fourth dimension) in class the day before spring break. I told the students that I wanted to show the part from The Simpsons Halloween episode from season 7 where Homer visits the third dimension but that it was lost in NetFlix limbo. One of my students volunteered that she has it on DVD and offered to bring it in. This morning she handed it to me at the beginning of class. While I was teaching, I had Mac The Ripper doing its thing, and I was able to return her disc to her at the end of class.

In mildly related news, today's edition of the student newspaper reports that the RIAA has sent letters to over a dozen undergrads on this campus who they plan to sue for illegally sharing music over the internet.
