The Inmates Run the Asylum

I have taken a calculated risk.

Professor E. from down the street is going to be giving a talk. Not just any talk, this will be a talk/concert, so I needed to find a room with a piano.

Every performance space on the MIT campus that we have reasonable access to is controlled by undergraduate students. None of these students have "arrange use of performance space with summer visitors" to be high on their list of things to do. After several emails to assorted students in charge, I still haven't received any confirmation of our reservation.

Since none of the people who I've asked about this has said "no," so today I emailed Professor E. and told him that the plans were all in place. Let's hope that I'm right.
