I Worry About the Freshmen
Don't tell anyone, but I'm not as heartless as I act.
One of my students has IM'd me a few times about the class, so iChat automagically added her to my buddy list. I'm not really sure who she is, since she's one of the crowd of 250 in the Calculus Circus.
This evening I've been watching the evolution of her "Away" message. It has changed from "I wanna go home" to a crying frowny face.
I'm not really sure what I should do. I'm a mathematician. We're not a group that's well known for being good with people.
