Small Miracles
I received my statement from the bursar's office for the course that I'm taking this spring.
My fee waiver posted correctly! I don't owe any money! More accurately, I don't need to get on the phone or stand in line to argue with them and insist that I don't owe any money.
If I didn't work here, they'd charge me $642 to take the class.
Mysterious dissonance: I'm allowed to take nine credit hours worth of classes for free each semester as one of the many generous benefits that are supposed to make up for the low salaries around here. Yet, there seems to be an attitude that people should not be teaching overloads (including discouraging people from picking up a course at the community college).
