Background information: The regular exams during the semester count for 60% of the grade. Quizzes and participation make up 20%. The final exam is worth 20%.

This just in: a student with an exam average of 42% wants to know what he needs to score on the final to bring him up to a 70% (cut off for a C).

If you can't figure that out on your own, odds are that your algebra background isn't at the level that you need for success in calculus.
