Another Day in the Advising Center

Advising season has resumed. Students come by to ask infathomable questions. One wanted to know how to get transfer credit for community college courses over the summer (answer: talk to the transfer department of the registrar's office). Two more wanted to study specialized programs that restrict enrollment in their courses to students who have been formally admitted to those programs. One was looking for courses on the gen-ed list that are fun and easy and don't require much reading, writing, or math. Another was facing academic issues so serious as to need to talk to a professional advisor. And the last one didn't show up.

Of note: The list of fall classes will not be available until next week. Most of these students can't register until April.
