I advised a student who is finishing his third year of college, about to start his fourth.

I wouldn't call him a "senior," though, as his credit hour total barely gets him out of the "sophomore" level. He has never taken a 300- or 400- level class.

He had an explanation for this academic deficit: He tore his achilles tendon.
