Branch Out, Try Something New
Last night when I was out on a walk, I ran into someone from the college administration.
Due to our budget situation, the budget for gen-ed courses is the same this year as last year. Also due to the budget situation, no one got a raise from this year to last year. As a result of this, we are down 4000 seats in gen-ed courses from last year. (Perhaps the university is charging itself more rent for the classrooms? Some other non-personnel-cost went up for Psych 1?)
Now might be the time to enroll in some electives. Or, you might want to consider community college. Or going to school part time while working. Because you're not going to be able to take Public Speaking and College Algebra and Comp I and Intro to Spanish.
