Dear Honors Students

Why I am not grading your homework and instead handing it back to you, ungraded, and asking you to do it again:

1. You could do better.


2. You could do a lot better.


3. It looks, roughly, like a shopping list scrawled on the back of an envelope while you were waiting for someone at Starbucks. Oh, and by the way, have you ever heard of a stapler? There is one screwed to the doorframe of my office in case you don't own one.


4. The amount of time it takes me to grade the stack should not be an order of magnitude larger than the time it took you to do the assugnment.
