My Amusement Continues Because I Live So Close to Work

A gallon of Starbucks Coffee Frappuccino would probably cost you almost $30 with tax. You'd have to buy about six of the "Venti" size -- a bit of a misnomer because "venti" is 24 oz. for cold drinks. A gallon of Coffee Frappuccino contains about 1920 kCal of energy.

A gallon of gasoline, on the other hand, contains a whopping 31,000 kCal of energy. That's more energy than in 16 gallons of Coffee Frappuccino. Even if you opt for a high calorie flavor, like the Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino, it's going to take you more than 8 gallons to match the energy in a gallon of gas. Gas seems like a bargain at $5 a gallon, doesn't it?
