A Public Service Message to the American People

  1. Large corporations do not have your best interests in mind. Just because a bank is willing to lend you money doesn't mean that you should borrow it. Even if they seem very charming.

  2. Do not buy things that you can not afford.

  3. Definitely do not make large purchases that you can not afford.

  4. If you're thinking of buying a house, if you can not put 20% down and have the monthly payment be less than 28% of your gross monthly pay, then you can not afford it.

  5. No. Seriously. Really.

  6. And, yes, even if everyone else has houses that they can't afford doesn't mean that you should buy a house (or anything else) that you can't afford. No matter what the banks tell you.
