The World Explained by My Congressman
Subtitle: Our tax dollars pay for the franking privilege.
In addition to explaining that health insurance is bad, that we have too many national parks, and global warming is just pretend, my congressman also notes: "Another thing that has driven up the cost of higher education is that many professors at large universities have apparently grown tired of teaching classes, so they claim to be doing 'research and writing' and spend almost no time in the classroom."
I wonder how much the cost of the federal government has been driven up by congressmen who claim to being going to meetings and advocating for their constituents and spend almost no time voting on legislation.
