Does Anyone Read the Syllabus?

At the end of the exam today, Stu comes up to me and asks, "The final replaces one of the exams, right?"

Me: No.

Stu (confused): Then what is the final for?

Me: It counts for 20% of your grade.

Stu: So it's like another test?

Me: Yes. One that covers all the material in the entire course.
