Administration and Finals Week

  1. Making it hard to get work done today, the phone system on campus is down.

  2. Helping instructors deal with the paperwork and procedures involved in correctly prosecuting a cheating case. The rule says that if you assign a grade penalty to an alleged cheater, then you have to go through the entire paperwork process.

  3. Having discussions about exceptio probat regulam in casibus non exceptis with literal-minded instructors. Mathematicians tend to be strict constructionists, especially when interpreting the syllabus.
