I Guess I'll be Writing a Letter
Today I got an email from MathJobs.org asking me to upload my letter of reference for Scott.
It's due Tuesday, January 12.
It is for a research, non-teaching job at a fancy-pants university. If someone asked you to list the 20 best math departments in the country, you'd definitely include this institution on your list. If you were making a list of the 10 best math departments in the country, this university might make your list.
I don't even know what Scott's area of research is; all I know about is Scott's teaching.
