### Life with the Calculator Generation

I have WebAssign homework due twice a week. Tuesday night's homework is reasonably challenging, as my students have recitation section with the TAs on Tuesdays, so they have a chance to ask questions. Friday night's homework is more basic and includes a lot of review problems.

The homework due tonight has the students do a problem with the arithmetic of fractions. Fractions of numbers, not rational functions.

Stu has emailed me in a panic that WebAssign keeps marking an answer wrong. Stu is putting in the decimal approximation to two decimal places. Sorry, Stu, 1/6 is not the same as 0.17.
