You Are the Reason Why This Class is Full
We've just cancelled two sections of College Algebra because of low enrollments.
According to my placement enforcement list, we have 150 students in calculus who haven't yet demonstrated that they've met the prerequisites. My guess is that about 100 of them have transfer credit for the prerequisites and that the other 50 really need to be in College Algebra.
If you'd changed your schedule some time in the past three weeks, you'd have been able to get a spot with no problem. Now that we've cancelled sections because you haven't switched into the class that you are supposed to be in? It's going to be full with a monster waiting list. When you tell me that you need to get in because you'll be behind in your major and unable to graduate on time unless I sign you in to College Algebra? Zero sympathy.
