International Comparisons

Apparently I am good enough at what I do here that not only will I be missed when I go back to my regular job full-time (and won't be able to do this again next summer), but I am being recruited to do this same task next year elsewhere. In Saudi Arabia.

I had to decline since, you know, the whole real job needing me to be around thing.

When I was telling my mother about this declined opportunity, she noted that it probably was a good idea to turn them down, citing as her prime reason the fact that I wouldn't be allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia. I pointed out that I don't drive in Cambridge. And that Saudi Arabia likely has air conditioning (while where I am living does not).
